We have been in contact with the Convention Center and have began plans to hold the conference with some modifications. For this year, we will be going back to the same days and format that we used for Step Ashore I and Step Ashore II starting Friday evening and concluding Sunday at noon. Attendance will be decreased by 20% this year to 560 as opposed to the normal 700. This will allow more space for all attending.
The hospitality room will still be open but with single serve and portioned items to help keep everything sanitary. Coffee and tea will still be available but the service for these has yet to be fully determined. Unfortunately, the water jugs in the main hall will not be available.
We will have hand sanitizer available from the greeters as you enter for each meeting. As well, we will have several thermometers on site should the need arise.
It is our hopes that Step Ashore will be the oasis in what has seemingly become a dreary desert of futility.
